Today for Performance we did something slightly different instead of just singing. Today we had a girl from James Hargest Senior come in and show us some dance moves. Her name was Ella.
We had lots of clicking with our hands in the song just so the dance could fit in with the song. We danced to Let Me Entertain You by Robbie Williams.
Groove out of it!

Performance
"Some things are meant to be, the clouds floating fast and free," Oh hi, just been in performance for a new song. Have you heard the story Little Women? Well I'm gonna tell you all about it, well about the song anyway. It's called Some Things Are Meant To Be. If you are a person who is emotional then do not listen to this song. It's so sad. Nicola our performance teacher was crying all the way through the song on Monday and Tuesday, but now she's sucked it up and moved on!
Anyway back to what I was saying, we listened to Some Things Are Meant To Be and THEN we sharpened up our moves in Don't Stop Me Now. There is a soloist for the first part of the song and then we come in on "I'm havin' a good time and then start to sing from there.

Today in performance we took photos of ourselves. We needed a buddie, a good pose and most importantly a real smile not a fake one. Kady was my partner. We took many photos until we got them perfect. We took much longer than we expected. Kady ended up with a photo against the wall and I went with a cute one - like a cat, like this!

"Quick quick, pass me the string. I need it now!" Today at Enrich we had another technology challenge. We had to make a stretcher that could hold four flour and sugar babies. Now, I know you THINK that there is no such thing as that but that is because they are made out of sugar and flour packets.
We had finally finished our design, but it looked really unappealing.
"Oh well Pearl," said Kady, "It's not the end of the world! We can still win if it holds."
Katie had set up an obstacle course on the walkway. It had cones for rocks and chairs set up on the other end of the room as mountains.
We were totally out of shape because we lost it when we were doing the obstacle. For starters we didn't have a strong enough design and secondly when we picked it up of the ground ALL of our handles fell off.
Today I learnt that if you are more interested in what you're doing then you start to communicate more but... If you are not that interested you do less work when your group really needs you to help!
That's all folks!

"Oh no! Where's my rook"? I asked Kady.
"Somewhere,"she replied.
We were playing chess and I couldn't find my Rook because Kady had hidden it.
"Kady, if we don't play we'll never finish the game in time!"
I moved my pawn forward one because then I could move my Queen and protect the King from any danger.
Kady moved the pawn in front of the Queen two spaces in front.
We never finished but the next time we play chess I'm going to take my Queen out of the game and use the other players differently.
Later folks!

" Come on people!" Nicola started ordering. "Shoulders out, standing still with legs apart"
Today we learned a new song in performance called Maybe Tomorrow. Our challenge was to memorize the song but that was kinda easy because it's a catchy song, I can type some of it now:
"All of your sorrows, maybe tomorrow will fade away in the air, tryin' to please me makin' it easy, it won't be there, it won't be there... in your life, in your life.
We had three shots at getting it right but I took two because I knew the song anyway.
Well bye for now folks:-)

Got the nerves
It was nearly my turn and I had the nerves."Pearl, It's your turn now!" I was shaking with fear but at least no one saw it in the video. We were rehearsing our monologues from weeks before and believe me, it was scary. Not like freaky scary but feeling scary. I was doing a tooth fairy monologue and I was saying what I thought about the tooth fairy.
"I lost a tooth the other day and my Mum told me to put it under my pillow...." Even though I was freaked I still didn't make one single mistake so I thought I did pretty well anyway. I went onto stage a bit later because my first name is more later on in the alphabet so I didn't need to worry.Oh I'm so glad I finished my monologue and I only got one bad report but that wasn't really a big issue because it was only my volume.
Well, blog ya later
