Wow!

Can you believe it? I made it through to the performance group with Nicola.

Today I went to audition for the performance group and I made it. I had butterflies in my tummy at first but Nicola made me feel alright.

It was my turn next and I knew that because I had to act as a dog for another person. You could either do a poem, a dance or a song and I chose the poem.

I did "The Homework Machine."

Nicola didn't think that that was enough so I showed her I could do a Kart-wheel and then I finally got through so that's how  got through to the performance group!

Talent development tasters

Everybody estimated or should I say guesstamated what number on the dice would most likely be rolled after 50 turns. This is called probability.  We have a girl group for our talent development tasters and here are the names: Violet, Olivia, Tara, Reina, Cassie, Kady and I.

Guesstamating is when you guess any random number in maths and the last bit of the word is Mating. Mating is the last few letters of the word estamating see, guesst-a-mating. We all got three lollies at the end of the session because we had been extra good!!!

I have got a little activity for YOU and that is to estimate how many lollies are in this jar and then you can count and see if your right.

music

Hola!
This morning Nicola asked the class if we wanted to learn real music. She only took the girls and that was fine with me because we were sort of singing a girly type song. We were singing to one of my favorite singers and that is Kelly Clarkson.

"Guess this means you're sorry, you're standing at my door, guess this means you take back what you said before" and we started to sing. We sounded great apart from a few hiccups but you don't need to know about that, Okay. We had to do some music writing.
We had to know how to write music notes which was a little bit hard.

Hoopla

We got tricked so many times by the evil teachers picking on us in our Wilson game. First Nicola would say "jump" and the next thing you know, Darryn claps.
The  rules were, you either have to have a group of three or other wise four. The aim of the game was to jump with two feet together while holding your partners sweaty hands and you have to land with your feet all at the same time. We were so close to getting there but.... Big mistake, Gorgie  fell over and we went back to the start. It was okay I guess because Over all we came third Thanks for reading........ Pearl

Storybird

Hello again!

During lunch today I made half of a story on Storybird. The story is called Merry Christmas. The story's about a boy called Andrew that is about to turn eight and he LOVES Christmas. I had to make an account on Storybird before I could start. The story is called Mery Christmas, by Alice5667, so if you ever go on Storybird - look out for it! Next week if I am finished my story I might put the last few pages on my blog. Here are the pages I have done so far:

Planting

Hello again!!!

Today it was a very busy day because every single child at enrich went to Waihopai river to plant trees and flax bushes. My buddy was Reina. We planted about 23 plants. We were making a difference to the world. The Waihopai river used to be just mud but now theres thousands of  plants there. There were four girls that organised this planting thing. Their names were Hannah, Hannah, Kate and Madison.

Airport

This morning the Enrich students had to present a keynote that we have worked on to a lady called Chloe Scala from the Invercargill Airport. I am on the  chalkboard/blackboard group.  This morning we had a practice and Katie was acting as Chloe. My favourite part was when our group went up. The people in my group's name were... Reina, Anna, Neave and Me. Here is a blackboard photo.  We think that putting blackboards upstairs with the really thick chalk will be a great way to keep children entertained until their flight arrives, or is ready to leave.
