Monologues

You may not have heard of Monologues but do not fear, I'm here to tell you what they are.
A monologue is an act played by an actress in a movie or play, but if you don't really get it, here is the tooth fairy play:

"I lost a tooth the other day, and my mum told me to put it under my pillow and that in the middle of the night the tooth fairy would come in and replace my tooth with some cash. OKay... so I have some questions and concerns here.

#1) What does this little tooth freak do with all these teeth? By my calculations somewhere in the world a child loses a tooth every .08 seconds... BUT they are not all in the same part of the world.. which brings me to..."

I'm not going to do any more of my Monologue because it goes on and on.

If your fascinated about what the tooth fairy DOES do with our teeth, you're gonna have to find out for yourself because to be honest, I don't know what happens to teeth!

Well, See ya later

The 'Pit'...

Have you ever fallen into a pit that you couldn't get out of? Well if you have or are about to here is some advice for you:

You may have thought: "Today I'm going to have a great day today" and then you haven't done your homework, when it's due that day and your Mother is already yelling at you to get your shoes on and your teacher has givin' you a warning about your homework and if you do it one more time you'll get sent to the principal's office..........
Then you're at the breaking point of falling into the pit. If you don't do something quick though, the hole grows deeper and deeper.
One thing you can do is be organised or even ask for help, but remember your friends don't want to be up at the top of the pit for hours and hours and even months waiting for you to climb up. But if you keep on trying to be organised, you'll find yourself nearly at the top of the pit and you can just about jump out of it.

Chess

Today I played chess with Violet and did pretty well, but the worst thing was we never finished the game to reveal the winner!

There are eight pawns which are the smallest players, two Rooks, knights and bishops and last of all one of each Queen and King.
The pawns can move upwards and take other players on a diagonal. The Rooks can't move on a diagonal, only straight but as many squares as they want. The Knight goes on in an "L" shape, the Bishop however can ONLY go on a diagonal. The King can go all directions, but can only move one square at a time. The Queen is quite powerful because she can go all directions and as MANY squares as she wants.

Guess which player is which!
Bye

Life on Mars

Hi, I'm back from the school holidays!
The pressure was on as we learnt a new, hard song.
The song was called "Life on Mars," originally sung by David Bowie. I need to tell you though that it's a HIGH song.

We always have a warm-up song before we actually start singing just to get our voices warmed up.
Well anyway, BYE!
